Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear?

To commence training, new students should wear loose comfortable sportswear such as jogging trousers and a T-Shirt. Taekwon-Do is a bare foot art, therefore, no footwear is required.

The official UKTC Training Suit can be purchased from you class instructor.

Which group will I be joining?

These schools are affiliated to ITF.

The UKTC is a member of the British Taekwon-Do Council, the official governing body for Taekwon-Do in the United Kingdom as recognised by the Sports Council.

All our instructors are fully qualified and insured to teach Taekwon-Do within the United Kingdom. To comply with child protection and the protection of vulnerable people, all our instructors have completed an Enhanced Disclosure check.

How do you become a member of the UKTC?

Upon successful application, the student will become a recognised member and will receive a Grading Booklet at their first Grading.

How do I pay for lessons?

Lessons are paid monthly by Direct Debit, the Direct Debit Guarantee safeguards all transactions. There is no contract – a simple agreement is all that is necessary to set up payment for your Taekwon-Do lessons (you can cancel your Direct Debit at any time, however one months notice is required).

After an initial free trial lesson, should you wish to join any club, simply ask for an enrolment form from your club instructor. He/she will supply you with a beginners welcome pack containing the enrolment form and information outlining the current monthly fees.
